| Winter shows Holland at it’s most picturesque, and provides Holland with it’s most heroic event: the ‘Elfstedentocht’, a 200 km skating tour along eleven Frisian towns and villages. When the water freezes the Dutch take off in an outburst of skating pleasure of all sorts, in many ways showing deeply rooted traditions. |
